Wilkes University Center on Main: Wilkes-Barre, PA Fencers must be NEPA division members and meet U20 or U17 age requirements. Fee is $10.00 for the first event, $5.00 for each additional. Pre-registration closes 11/16. No walk-ins will be accepted. Epee & Saber start at 10:00AM, foil at Noon. •Must be a member of USAFencing, Northeast PA division (you may apply for membership the day of the tournament - cost is $65/yr). One day memberships are available online for $20, but must be completed online prior to the date of the tournament. Participants must also meet the following age requirements: UNDER 20 (JUNIOR) Date of birth - 1993-1999 UNDER 17 (CADET) Date of birth - 1996-1999 MUST BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OF AGE… •Due to the small number of eligible participants in our division, the events will most likely be mixed, i.e., both age categories (U17 and U20) and men and women will fence in one event. •Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in both the U17 and the U20 age groups for each of the following categories: Men's foil, women's foil, men's epee, women's epee, men's saber, and women's saber. •USFA rules will be applied. Fencers must have the following: 2 working weapons, 2 body cords, a lame for foil and/or saber; a plastron, mask, jacket, glove, knickers and socks. •Mask with conductive bib for foil is required. •Street shoes are not allowed on the gym floor.
