JOC Skiing for Beginners! Jan. 27, 2013 (Sun) Details: Join the JOC @ Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center! Organizers:Moshe Wolcowitz contact: wolcowitz@yahoo.comElana Groeschlercontact: elanatree@gmail.com   On Sunday morning Jan. 27th "The Jewish Outdoors Club" will head out to Tuxedo Ridge for an all inclusive ski trip for a fraction the cost!!  Tuxedo Ridge is located just 35 miles from the George Washington Bridge in Tuxedo, N.Y. (we will arrange carpooling from the city and surrounding areas). Learn to ski, maintain your skills or simply to escape from your daily routine and meet likeminded adventurers! With eight trails covering 35 skiable acres, this cozy area offers a wide array of ski programs. Snowboarders are welcome on all trails. Off the slopes, Tuxedo Ridge features a modern base lodge with cafeteria, lounge and a well-stocked rental shop. Cost: $33.00 (add $20 if you need the ski/snowboarding rental) Refund Policy: Cancellations will be granted for a 100% refund if canceled by Jan 15th. Please note that beyond that we can't give refunds but we can try to help you find a replacement (we offer no guarantees). Ride Share:We will organize carpooling leaving from Manhattan and its’ surrounding areas (based on driver availability). Passengers are each expected to pay a $15 fee to the driver to reimburse for gas, toll, and wear & tear… We love our drivers, so please pay as soon as you get in the car and don’t make them ask! AWESOME! How do I sign up?Follow the above registration link and its instructions  Schedule: We will meet up on Sunday morning (Jan 27th) at the group ticket sales window at 9:25am. From there, we should be able to start  by 9:45am. Tuxedo Ridge is about an hour from Manhattan. Please budget your time accordingly (based on where you're coming up from). We will break for lunch around noon time (bring your own food) and continue skiing until 4:30pm.  We will have a quick snack together before we head back to the city. We should be back in the city, give or take, by around 7PM. What should I bring?  Bring ski pants/jacket, gloves, sweaters, long underwear, woolen socks, neck gaiter (if you tend to get cold) and extra layers of warm clothing (try to avoid cotton).
