The Alexandria Bay Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting its 15th annual, no boundary, ice fishing derby on January 26th at the Alexandria Bay Municipal Building to benefit the Alexandria Bay Fire Department. New this year, the derby will be a Luck of the Draw Derby. Registration is Friday, January 25th starting at 8:00 a.m. and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. until noon. All fish must be entered by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Over $10,000.00 in prizes for adults, and children’s divisions will be awarded at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grand Prize: $1,000.00 Cash donated by Glenn Sweet Thousand Island Decoy Company Other top prizes include under the lottery drawing will be: • $500 Cash donated by Gouverneur Savings and Loan • $500 Gift Certificate donated by Rte. 37 and Wellesley Island Building Supply • Milwaukee 4-Pack Tool Set donated by McQuade & Bannigan • Ice auger donated by Horizon Marine Bring your fish in live for release and enter your name for a chance to win up to $250 cash donated by Charles Garlock & Sons. Largest fish entered will win $250 donated by Alexandria Bay Fire Department. There will be entertainment provided by “Crossroads DJ Service” on both Friday and Saturday nights.
