This is a challenging 2-mile rough water swim between the Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach Piers. Any contestant who did NOT comptete in the 2012 Pier-to-Pier swim must pass a 500-meter "check out" swim. Dates for the check out swim will be July 13, 20 and 21 (between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.) on the south side of the Hermosa Beach Pier. Decision of lifeguards at "check out" is final. 2012 Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim finishers are exempt from "check out". Online registration and payment must be completed prior to the check out swim. Entrants failing to meet the check out standards will be given a full refund. No other refunds will be issued. Registration for all entrants closes July 21, 2013. There will be NO race day sign-ups.
