K Hails Greensboro; Featherston Looks At Future
As Notre Dame throws in with the ACC, Coach K takes a stand on Greensboro as the ACC’s home base. Good timing, since the new schools will put on a lot of pressure to move it.
Greensboro, though, has become home. It was Reynolds once upon a time, of course, but that was hardly fair.
In Al Featherston’s article about the future of Duke and the ACC, he picks up on some of the themes and potential boons and perils of consolidation. Duke A.D. Kevin White, who was of course at Notre Dame before coming to Durham, and therefore has an interesting perspective on all of this. It’s a fairly fascinating read. All of this, taken together, is pretty powerful.
By the way, in case you hadn’t notice, with the latest round of expansion, home-and-home will again be reduced.
