Update: JMU's Rayshawn Goins May Not Be Able to Leave Virginia

By Benjamin Miraski

SBnation.com

Late Sunday night, Rayshawn Goins was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. This was a major blow in the slim NCAA Tournament hopes for James Madison.

The story gets even dicier given that it is unclear whether or not Goins is allowed to leave Virginia before his trial date on April 8.

As Mark Selig reported via Twitter, JMU athletic director Geoff Polglase didn't think it would be an issue if Goins was with the team but:

Adam Hermann pointed out earlier that this would really cause an issue for James Madison making its way into the Round of 64, especially against LIU-Brooklyn, with Northeast player of the year Jamal Olasewere guarding the inside.

A formal announcement from the University is expected prior to 5 p.m. Eastern time when the team is set to depart for Dayton.
