Day two of NFL free agency is underway, and we're going to try something different for today's coverage. Yesterday, I put together a story stream of coverage, with new posts throughout the day. Conversation flew every which way, but there was no single place for continuous discussion. That made it a bit more difficult to follow conversations.
I have a new plan today. For day two, I'm creating this open thread, in which I'll post tweets, news and other updates as it happens. I will still be posting new stuff, but that new stuff will focus on individual stories, rather than an attempt to cover a few things at once. I don't know how it will work out, but I figure it's one way to get things going. This will be pinned to the top of the front page in the Four-Up format. You'll see new stories below it, and if you have comments about those specific stories, you can drop in and join that specific discussion.
7:50 a.m. PT - It's already close to 11:00 a.m. on the east coast, so things are getting going in the league. The 49ers are working up some visits today, including safety Charles Woodson and defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey. As we hear more on that, updates will show up. Hit refresh to check for new updates, and of course, keep an eye on the front page for posts on the nitty-gritty news.
For a full rundown of day one, check out the comprehensive post I put together last night. That should get you fully update on day one action.
