MIAMI COUNTY —
A Troy man died and another Troy man is in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital after a crash on Piqua-Troy Road near the intersection of Peterson Road.
Michael J. Miller, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to deputies. Kenneth Thurmond, 32, the driver, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital aboard CareFlight, where he is listed in critical condition, according to Sgt. Mike Marion.
Marion said speed and alcohol are both suspected in the crash.
The vehicle struck a utility pole during the wreck after the car swerved off of the road, deputies said.
The crash remains under investigation.
