DAYTON —
The bomb squad was called to a bike path today after several bottle bombs were discovered.
Around 9:25 a.m., crews responded to the bike path near Russet Avenue and Corinth Boulevard. Police said six of the explosive devices, which are constructed out of plastic bottles and household chemicals, were discovered on the bike path. Some of the bottle bombs had exploded by the time police arrived.
The bike path was closed while the bomb squad and police responded to the scene.
