6543 Dayton-Farmersville Road Car vs. pole, Jefferson Township, January 27, 2013

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP —

A 76 year old female was flown via Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after she crashed her vehicle into a pole at 6543 Dayton-Farmersville Road.

Shortly after 8:30a.m. Sunday morning, police were dispatched on a report of a vehicle into a pole and wires were down. Upon arrival, it was unsure as to the extent of injuries for the driver due to a utility pole lying across the length of the blue Dodge Caravan. Careflight was requested and arrived shortly thereafter to remove the victim to the hospital.

Dayton Power and Light was also requested to the scene. The pole was hanging by the wires. There was no word on any live disconnected lines.

The road was closed while repairs were made to the broken pole.

The crash is under investigation.
