XENIA TWP., Greene Co. —

Flames destroyed a home in the 2200 block of U.S. 68 South late Friday night, according to reports.

Firefighters responded to the home just before 11 p.m. and found the home, 2280 U.S. 68 South, fully engulfed in flames.

Initial reports indicated no one was inside the home when the fire started, and dispatch records indicated no medical transports were made from the scene.

The home is being considered a total loss, according to reports.

So far firefighters have not released any official details as to what may have caused the fire.

The late night blaze was reported by witnesses, who said they saw heavy flames from the rear of the home, which is located southeast of Xenia between Ireland and Waynesville Jamestown roads on U.S. 68, according to Greene County dispatchers.
