Waynesville boil water advisory lifted

WAYNESVILLE —

The boil water advisory, put in place for the village on Monday because of a major water main break, has been lifted Wednesday night.

Village officials said in a news release that final results from bacteriological testing came back negative, which means the water in Waynesville is and has been safe for human consumption.

The boil advisory called immediately after the break on Franklin Street near East Ellis Drive affected properties adjacent to Franklin from Lytle to U.S. 73, and along East and West Ellis Drive.
