Car slides on ice, falls backward into creek

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY —
The driver of a car that slid on ice and crashed into a creek this morning was not injured.
Around 8:35 a.m. today, a car hit some ice on a curve in the 4300 block of Storms Creek Road in Champaign County. After hitting the ice, the car slid sideways and fell backward about 15 to 20 feet into the creek, officials said.
The driver was not injured, and was able to exit the vehicle before emergency crews arrived.
