RANDOLPH COUNTY, Indiana —
A murder trial will be delayed while the Indiana Supreme Court determines whether the suspect’s admission can be used as evidence.
Scott Hartman was arrested two years ago for the murder of his father.
Investigators said he admitted that he killed his father and then hid the body in a garage.
They added that Hartman said he then helped his own mother who was suffering from cancer take her own life.
They said Hartman admitted killing his father so that he wouldn’t have to watch Hartman’s mother die.
