DAYTON —
Authorities now have four people in custody that they believe are responsible for a robbery and kidnapping in November in which one person was shot.
The fourth suspect, Vincent Johnson, was arrested by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team on Jan. 4. He is charged with kidnapping, tampering with evidence, and having weapons under disability.
His girlfriend, Samantha Jones, is also facing charges because she allegedly lied to police about his whereabouts. According to a Dayton Police report she told police in December that she hadn’t seen Johnson and promised to call if he showed up at her house.
When SOFAST agents arrived at her Philadelphia Street address on Friday, she again said Johnson wasn’t there. He was found hiding under some insulation in the attic.
Jones was being held in the Montgomery County Jail Monday pending charges of obstructing official business and obstructing justice.
Johnson, 28, is the fourth person arrested in connection to a Nov. 29 robbery at 822 Mount Crest Court. A 27-year-old man was shot in the back and another victim was kidnapped.
