The Internet is making it easier for companies to market a unique niche product — hidden handcuff keys.
NewsCenter 7’s Yuna Lee talked to one local jurisdiction that is concerned about these products.
“The handcuffs, the hidden zipper, there’s no law against it, they’re allowed to have them but once they use them in a criminal element, is when it becomes illegal,” said Eaton Police officer Tim Smith.
Products are being marketed that are hidden in jacket zippers, or attached to fake coins.
