DAYTON —
A man attempted to kick his way into a woman’s home on North Upland Avenue Monday morning.
The 50-year-old victim reported to police that at about 9 a.m. she heard someone knocking on the door. She tried to look out peephole but the suspect covered it. He was wearing red gloves.
According to a Dayton Police incident report, the woman yelled out to him that she was calling 911. At that point he started kicking her front door, then started kicking a side door. He was able to get the side door open, but then ran away before police arrived.
The victim said the man was a stranger and she has no idea what he wanted.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a black bubble coat, white T-shirt, knit winter hat and the gloves at the time of the incident.
