Two men armed with black revolvers reportedly robbed the Family Dollar on Gettysburg Avenue Friday night and made off with roughly $100.

Dayton police were sent to the store, at 1028 N. Gettysburg Ave., around 8:30 p.m., according to an incident report. An assistant manager said he was behind the register taking inventory of cigarettes at the time of the robbery. One of the men shoved the muzzle of his revolver into the assistant manager’s rib cage and said, “Open the register or I’ll shoot you.”

They took some money from one of the registers before fleeing on foot across the parking lot.

A witness said the men may have been driving a dark Chevrolet Impala. Both suspects were wearing masks.
