DAYTON —

A police pickup truck stopped with other emergency vehicles at a crash on U.S. 35 was struck Friday night by a suspected drunken driver.

The initial crash at approximately 8:30 p.m. involved at least two vehicles and injuries on westbound 35 near Interstate 75.

While medics helped the injured and and police conducted interviews and investigated the scene, a gray sedan struck the officer’s white pickup.
