XENIA TWP., Greene Co. —
A man driving with his wife and three kids in a vehicle when it crashed into a creek on Kinsey Road, was allegedly drunk, troopers said.
The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. Sunday when the man veered off the right side of Kinsey just east of Woodland Drive, according to troopers. The vehicle crashed through a guardrail and plunged down into a creek, submerging the front end of the car in water.
According to troopers, three children were in the vehicle’s back seat and the man’s wife was in the front seat. All four suffered minor injuries and were transported to Greene Memorial Hospital and are expected to recover, troopers said. The driver was not injured.
In addition to OVI, the driver could also face child endangerment charges, trooopers said.
Troopers had not determined whether the wife had been drinking, but the man told troopers they had been visiting a friends house and were on their way home.
The crash remains under investigation.
