CLARK COUNTY —
State troopers are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Sunday morning just west of South Vienna on National Road.
Troopers said the driver, Dylan R. Numbers, 20, of Springfield, was eastbound on National Road when he lost control and went off the right side of the road. Investigators said he was traveling at a high-rate of speed.
According to troopers, Numbers' vehicle hit and destroyed a metal road sign. The vehicle then rolled several times and troopers said Numbers was ejected.
The vehicle ended up about 50 yards from the crash scene, OSP said.
Troopers said Numbers suffered serious injuries and was by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
They said alcohol may be a factor in the accident, and an investigation continues.
