False fire evacuation leads to charge for man

CLARK COUNTY —

A man is being charged with inducing panic after he allegedly pulled a fire alarm at a building with elderly residents.

According to court records, Falondo Lamount Mullins pulled a fire alarm at Cole Manor, 315 South Burnett Road, around 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 26. The alarm caused panic and the evacuation of 100 to 120 residents, some of which are elderly and disabled, according to records.

Cole Manor staff members recognized Mullins, who worked for the home during a summer program, on surveillance video.

The total economic loss was $1,150, according to records.
