DAYTON —
Damage is estimated at $6,000 following fire in a vacant house early Saturday morning at 148 W. Fairview Ave.
The fire started in the kitchen, and heavy flames were showing when firefighters arrived. They were able to knock the fire down quickly.
Neighbors evacuated their homes as a precaution. No one was hurt.
Firefighters said the fire is suspicious, and an arson investigator was called in.
