Gas prices dropping throughout region

SOUTHWEST OHIO —

Gas prices are dropping throughout Southwest Ohio.

One week ago, the average price for a gallon of unleaded fuel in the Dayton area was $3.85. Today, the average price is $3.59 a gallon, and several stations in Dayton are selling gas for $3.34 to $3.49 a gallon, according to www.DaytonGasPrices.com.

In Middletown, at least four stations were selling gas for $3.21 a gallon as of 5:30 a.m.

At several other stations throughout the area, gas was still selling for $3.69 to $3.79 a gallon as of 5:30 a.m. today.

Oil dropped below $90 a barrel for the first time this year on Monday, according to the Associated Press. A month ago, oil was close to exceeding $100 a barrel.
