DAYTON —
Police used a Taser multiple times Wednesday morning to subdue a teenager suspected of possessing and selling heroin.
Darius S. Lynch Jr., 18, was arrested shortly after 9 a.m. when officers responded to a reported burglary in the 5000 block of Northcrest Drive, according to a Dayton police report.
No one was inside the home where the reported burglary occurred, but officers stopped Lynch, who was walking nearby. He apparently matched the description of the suspect, according to the report.
Police said Lynch struggled with officers and attempted to run. Officers used a Taser three times during the arrest before Lynch surrendered and said, “OK I give,” according to the report.
Police said the suspect was hiding 12 gel-cap doses and another bag of close to a gram of heroin in his pants. Officers also seized a knife and $112 found in the suspect’s possession, the report states.
Lynch was in the Montgomery County Jail on Wednesday night pending arraignment in city Municipal Court.
