CLAY TWP., Montgomery County —
Firefighters believe an early morning house fire started inside a wall behind a stove insert Thursday.
Fire crews responded to the house in the 7000 block of Brookville Phillipsburg Road around 1:40 a.m. and discovered the flames inside the house.
When firefighters arrived the family living at the house had evacuated and were able to escape unharmed, according to officials.
The fire was put out quickly, firefighters said, and the house had minimal damage.
Firefighters believed the fire was the result of a insulation issue.
