DAYTON —
A fire started in a Dayton home after a man cooking on his stove walked out of the room, according to officials.
Fire officials said the homeowner went into another room to watch something on television, and when he walked back into his kitchen, he discovered his food had boiled over and caught cabinets on the fire.
Officials said the man is lucky the fire didn’t spread. Damage inside is extensive, and the blaze caused about $5,000 in damage, authorities said.
No one was injured.
