An accident Thursday evening on Urbana Road north involving a pickup truck and a truck cab sent one person to a hospital.

The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. when the pickup truck rear-ended the truck cab, which had just come off the assembly line at the nearby Navistar plant, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

A woman who was driving the pickup truck had to be cut from the wreckage by crews from Moorefield Twp.

The woman, whose name and age were not released, was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, suffering from injuries not considered to be life threatening.

She probably will be cited, according to the patrol, but the investigation has not been completed.

The crash caused the roadway to be shut down for a time.
