ARCANUM, Ohio —
Medics responded to a head-on crash Monday night in which one driver was injured.
Darke County deputies along with Arcanum fire and Arcanum rescue personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Ohio 49 and Pitsburg Laura Road for the crash. A 2004 Chevy Impala, driven by a 17-year-old Arcanum teen was northbound on Ohio 49 attempting to turn left. A 1992 Olds Cutlass, driven by James Bingham, 58, of Greenville was traveling southbound on Ohio 49 when the vehicles struck head-on in the intersection, according to police.
The teen driver did not want medical attention, Bingham was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was no longer listed as a patient at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. As of Tuesday morning, no citations have been issued.
