TURTLECREEK TWP. —

The wife of one of the escapees from a Warren County correctional center is sitting in the county jail on charges she allegedly aided in the escape.

Suza Kline, 35, of Hamilton was arrested in Middletown at around 6:15 on Sunday after she allegedly picked up her husband Michael Kline, 25, and Zachary Williamson, 25, of College Corner, at the basketball courts on the west side of the Community Correctional Center of Butler, Clermont and Warren Counties, according to sheriff’s reports.

The two men allegedly used a fire extinguisher to break a window and escape at 6:30 a.m. that day. Police reports also indicated a recorded phone conversation between Michael and his wife at at around 5:45 a.m. revealed the escape plan. Chief Deputy John Newsom said Wednesday the two men are still on the loose.

“They are still at-large,” he said. “They thought they tracked them to Dayton last night, but we sent some people up there and it was not fruitful.”

Kline was at the center after he pleaded guilty to several counts of petty theft and breaking and entering in three separate cases in Butler County. Judge Patricia Oney sent him to the center on Sept. 24 and ordered that he take corrective thinking classes and get drug and alcohol abuse counseling among other services. She also ordered him to pay $1,359 in restitution to three different Walmart stores in Butler and Hamilton counties.

Judge Keith Spaeth sent Williamson to the center last October after he pleaded guilty to grand theft. He was ordered to get mental health treatment and counseling — among other things — and he was also supposed to enter the drug court program when he left the center. Both men now face third degree felony escape and fifth degree vandalism charges in Lebanon Municipal Court.

Talbert House runs the correctional center, but spokesperson Teri Nau said because of HIPPA laws she cannot discuss the two men. She said the center is a lock down facility but they do not have armed guards.

“We call them activity security monitors,” she said. “So there are no guns or anything like that, it’s not a jail but it is locked down.”

Anyone with information about the missing men is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 513-695-1280.
