Fire investigators in Troy have estimated damage to a building and contents at $18,000 from a fire on Sunday afternoon.
The fire happened on Stanfield Road in Troy. The fire started in or near a clothes dryer and there were no injuries.
The American Red Cross was called and is helping the family who was displaced.
Another fire happened nearby about 10 hours later on the same road.
At 3-Sigma Corp. a large container of glue caught on fire inside a production area.
Thanks to an overhead sprinkler system, the building suffered minimal damage, but the loss of produce materials was substantial, according to fire investigators.
The company makes pressure sensitive adhesive-coated products. Despite the fire, the company was at full production on Monday.
