CLARK COUNTY, Ohio —
A neighbor fired two shots into the air after he saw two men running off with items from his neighbors house near the intersection of Milton Carlisle Road and U.S. Route 40.
Deputies responded after the man notified them of the burglary around 12:40 a.m. today. When officers arrived they discovered numerous items missing.
"We found multiple items believed to have been removed from the residence in the backyard and the grass area along the road," said Sgt. Brad Barnhart.
Upon further investigation police found forced entry into the suspected burglarized home.
A flat screen television, DVD player and other items were recovered by deputies.
The two suspects are described as white males wearing Carhart-like clothing.
Police said night burglaries are rare at homes. "Generally we get the business break-ins during the night time hours, but this is somewhat unusual," said Barnhart. "We encourage neighbors to be vigilant and lookout for suspicious activity."
