BELLEFONTAINE —
Many people in Logan County are counting their blessings this holiday season after finding out a man anonymously spent about $30,000 at a Bellefontaine Walmart to pay off hundreds of layaway accounts.
Several of these beneficiaries called into WHIO’s newsroom Saturday afternoon with news of their secret Santa. One of the Walmart’s managers estimated 200-300 accounts were paid off.
News Center 7 was advised to call Walmart’s media relations department for official comment. Reporters were not able to reach anyone in that department on Saturday evening.
