DAYTON —
A female student at Dayton’s Belmont High School has been suspended after she was accused of starting a fight with another female student, allegedly ripping out a lip ring and chunks of her hair.
A Dayton police report states the female student, who is 15, was assaulted at lunch on Monday. Police responded to the school, at 2615 Wayne Ave., and the girl told them she was sitting at a lunch table when the accused approached and said, “(I heard you been (talking) about me.”
She then started pulling her hair, biting and hitting her in the face, according to information in the report. She ripped out her lip ring. The lip was reportedly swollen and bloody as a result.
School security officers pulled the two apart.
Dayton Public Schools spokeswoman Jill Moberley confirmed Tuesday evening the accused female student was suspended and recommended for expulsion.
