More than a dozen homes in Montgomery County were without power just after 9 a.m. today due to a blown transformer that caught a tree on fire.
Officials were able to contain the fire and Dayton Power & Light crews were working to restore power shortly before 10 a.m.
The initial call for help came from a homeowner in the 6000 block of Dayton-Liberty Road who could see the burning tree near the home. No one was injured.
