URBANA, Ohio -- Champaign County’s Board of Elections was scheduled Tuesday to certify the November 8 election results. The board is also looking for a new director and deputy director.
Director Robin Burden is stepping down this week after working for over a decade in the office. Deputy Director Megan Hilliard is also leaving. Burden says she is looking for a change of direction.
Board members will continue to staff the office until the positions are filled.
Both jobs will be advertised until November 30.
Board members say they were surprised by the resignations, but declined further comment.
