WEST CARROLLTON —
The driver of a small car that was pinned under a flatbed semi in a collision Friday night on northbound Interstate 75 will be cited for causing the crash, police said.
The northbound lanes of the interstate near West Carrollton have reopened since the accident, which occurred at about 7:30 p.m.
West Carrollton police said traffic was down to one lane so crews could remove the car from under the flatbed truck. The accident happened near exit 47, which directs traffic into West Carrollton.
An initial investigation indicated that both vehicles were headed north and the driver of the car changed lanes, resulting in her vehicle being pinned under the semi, according to Sgt. David Wessling.
The driver of the car, a middle-aged woman, will be cited for causing the crash, he said. She was alert at the time of the transport to Kettering Medical Center, and her injuries were not considered to be life threatening.
