BEAVERCREEK, Ohio —
A chemical spill shut down The Beavercreek Post Office on Friday.
The spill happened Friday afternoon at the post office in the 3500 block of Dayton-Xenia Road.
Drops of an unknown liquid forced the Beavercreek post office to shut down for several hours on Friday.
A private hazardous materials cleanup team was called in to clean up the liquid from the lobby floor.
Post office officials say the drops they found appeared to be mercury.
As of Friday, experts are still not sure what the substance was or where it came from.
Mail is still being delivered as normal, officials said.
