Employee assaulted at drive through-window

DAYTON, Ohio —

A Rally's employee told police early Sunday morning she was the victim of an assault through a drive-through window.

The incident occurred at the Rally's store at 1205 N. Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton. According to a police report obtained Sunday, a gold Hyundai entered the drive-through and the individuals inside ordered two value meals, a large regular drink and a small diet.

At the window, one passenger began to "scream" about the drink, according to the report. Soon, two women with vague descriptions exited the vehicle. The woman told police that one of them was hitting the window with her shoe and the other was trying to get in the drive-through window.

One of the women threw a punch and struck the employee in the mouth. In their report, police observed swelling on the employee's top lip.

The vehicle soon fled west on Hoover Avenue, according to the employee.
