Greene County lieutenant and reporter hurt in crash

By Bill Scheidel

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio -- A veteran lieutenant with the Greene County Sheriff's Department and a newspaper reporter were hurt in a two car accident Monday morning.  Investigators say the newspaper reporter stopped at the intersection of Yellow Springs Fairfield Road and West Enon Road, then pulled out in front of Lieutenant Charles Step's vehicle.  The lieutenant's vehicle rammed into the side of the reporter's vehicle.  Both were taken to Greene Memorial Hospital with injuries.  The reporter works for the Greene County dailies.
