Staff Report

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio —

Authorities in Warren County said a man who was found in his vehicle under water likely had a heart attack before he died.

Deputies and family members said Miley Eugene Powell, 65, may have had a heart attack or some type of medical issue when his car drove into a creek near his farmhouse at 10701 Ohio 350 in Clarksville. it is unclear if he died from the medical issue or if he drowned.

Powell and his vehicle was discovered by two sons this morning when they arrived at his home to help with farm work, according to Powell's niece, who did not give her name. One son called 911 and told dispatchers that they could not get Powell out of the vehicle and needed help.

Family members told News Center 7 that Powell had been out with a group of friends prior to the incident, but did not say where he had been. He was alone in his vehicle when he crashed.
