TROTWOOD —
A man sitting in his house on Patton Avenue narrowly avoided more than 30 bullets that came through his walls and windows Thursday evening.
Trotwood police said it appears that shortly after 7 p.m., several individuals opened fire on the house at 147 Patton with several different weapons.
Sgt. Fred Beck said more than 30 rounds struck the house, some of the bullets coming from a high-powered rifle.
The man was not struck, but at least one bullet hit the couch he was sitting on and several bullets impacted the wall above his head.
Beck said police are searching for several suspects, but declined to release descriptions at this time.
