Staff Report

JEFFERSON TWP., Montgomery County —

A 50-year-old motorcycle rider from Camden remains in critical condition after his bike collided with a vehicle on Tuesday at Ohio 4 and Union Road

As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges have been filed stemming from the accident that sent rider Patrick Murphy to the hospital.

According to Moraine police Sgt. Russ Imler, the preliminary investigation has found that Curtis Mason, 53, of Union, pulled away from a stop and into the path of the motorcycle at about 4 p.m.

Murphy was taken to the hospital by CareFlight. Mason was not injured.

The motorcycle was headed south on Ohio 4 and the car was headed east on Union, Imler said. Mason had a stop sign and the motorcyclist had the right of way, he said.
