Driver seriously injured in St. Marys crash

One person was seriously injured in a St. Marys crash Thursday night, troopers said.

Around 6:20 p.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers responded to Ohio 73 on the report of a crash involving a Dodge Caravan and a Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, according to a release.

The Oldsmobile, driven by Mary L. Kaup, 88, of Celina, was traveling eastbound on Ohio 73 and turned left into the path of the van, driven by Alexander L Collins, 30, of St. Marys.

Both drivers were taken to Joint Township Memorial Hospital and Kaup was later taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
