MIAMI TWP., Ohio —
Police in Miami Township said they are talking with two people who are connected to the use of stolen credit cards at area stores.
A supervisor with the Miami Township Police Department confirmed to News Center 7 two people were pulled over in a vehicle for a traffic stop just before 11:30 a.m. today.
The two in the Crown Victoria may be connected to the use of credit cards stolen from local residents and used to make purchases at Meijer in Miami Twp. and Walmart in Moraine.
At least one card was stolen within the last week from a Miami Twp. resident, the police supervisor said.
The pair will be taken to police headquarters for identification and comparison to surveillance footage from the stores.
The vehicle was pulled over in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Alex Bell Road. News Center 7 staff at the scene said a child appeared to be in the rear of the vehicle. A woman was in one police cruiser and a man was in another.
