HAMILTON —
Butler County and Hamilton law enforcement officials located a toddler missing from his home this morning.
Deputies and officers responded to 7657 Mourning Dove Lane in Hamilton before 7 a.m. today on reports the 2-year-old cannot be found. He was found shortly after inside a vehicle.
“While searching the area, Hamilton Police Officers Scott Laney, Pete Gibbons, and Terry Kiep found the child inside of a vehicle, a couple blocks away from his residence,” a release from the Hamilton Police Department states.
“The Hamilton Police Department held officers over on shift to assist in trying to find the child. Fairfield Township Police and Fire Departments, along with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search as well.”
The boy is OK and being taken to Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus as a precaution. No foul play suspected.
