RIVERSIDE —
A suspect is sought after attempting to rob a Riverside store and using a box-cutter knife to do it.
Riverside Police Det. Sgt. Jeff Trego said the suspect entered Hall’s Market, 4426 Springfield St., at 6:50 p.m. Sunday. The suspect presented items to be purchased to an employee at the register. During the transaction, the suspect displayed the knife and demanded cash.
The suspect removed money from the register and fled. No one was injured, police said.
Police have surveillance footage and said the suspect is a white male believed to be in his 20s and has short, brown hair. The suspect has a medium build and was wearing a camoflauge-patterned hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white gym shoes.
Police believe the suspect has tattoos on the top of his hands.
Anyone with information related to the robbery is urged to call the Riverside Police Department at (937) 233-1801.
