HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio —
Chambersburg Road was shut down Thursday afternoon after a gas leak at the new high school construction site Friday afternoon.
A backhoe ruptured a 2-inch natural gas line at about 1 p.m., and Vectren crews needed about 30 minutes to repair the damage, the Huber Heights Police Department said.
Businesses in the area stayed open, and no residents from the neighborhood surrounding Wayne High School were evacuated. No one was hurt during the incident.
Chambersburg reopened at about 2 p.m.
