A clerk at United Dairy Farmers at 2669 W. U.S. 22/Ohio 3 in Deerfield Twp. reported Feb. 5 that the store had been robbed at knifepoint and that the suspect had fled the store.

After interviewing the clerk, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies discovered that the suspect was known to the clerk and that it was his roommate. The clerk admitted to informing the suspect about the layout of the store and when would be a good time to rob the store.

Zachary L Roberts of Deerfield Twp. was arrested for aggravated robbery and Tyler R. Madden of Deerfield Twp. was arrested for complicity to commit aggraved robbery. Both men were charged in the Mason Municipal Court and taken to the Warren County Jail.

The money taken in the robbery was recovered along with the knife. No one was injured, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
