Single-vehicle crash in Xenia sends 1 to hospital

XENIA —
Crash investigators with the Ohio Highway Patrol are trying to determine why a 20-year-old woman drove off the road Thursday in the 700 block of Hawkins Drive and ended up slamming into a telephone pole.
The woman was headed north at about 5 p.m. when she drove off the road, hit a ditch, then continued on through a fence and into the pole, according to the OSP.
She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Xenia. Her condition was not known, according to the OSP.
The roadway was shut down for the investigation.
